About this product

SHINOBU SHOGUN is a blended whisky, finished in Mizunara oak casks in Niigata, Japan.

It is blended from selected whiskies sourced from different distilleries and matured in bourbon and Mizunara oak casks.

The bottle design is inspired by the armour of a Japanese general from the late Sengoku period: a full wrap-around design that pairs minimalist body lines with intricate knot imagery, evoking the steadfastness and loyalty of the samurai.

We simplified the general’s armour for a contemporary look while keeping its historical essence. The head stays true to the traditional Japanese helmet, with large horns that convey not only majesty but also the fearless spirit of the samurai.

Nose: Notes of butter, coconut, mint, grass, old oak and a pinch of pepper
Palate: Slightly Oily with floral influences and hints of Chinese incense, butter and vanilla.
Finish: Short to Medium. Smooth, fragrant, sweet and earthy with sandalwood and vanilla spice
