A beautifully crafted age expression in which the Mizunara Oak barrel brings out layers of flavour, teamed with a deep floral woody scent which is full of vitality. A rich and satisfying flavour profile with a luscious, sweet aftertaste. By using a blend of malted barley, which is carefully selected and mashed to create a rich and complex flavour profile which are first reserved in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon casks and then finishing them with precious Japanese Mizunara oak.
Tasting Notes
NOSE: Honey sweetness, cafe latte with blueberry cheesecake and old oak PALATE: Orchard fruits lead into citrus and spice. More pronounced ginger and cinnamon appears, sweet malted barley and an oily palate FINISH: Sweet fruits combine with spice and wood shavings. A delicious ending to a great whisky.
