For more than 170 years, the Micil family has been creating outstanding Irish spirits along the shores of Galway Bay. Micil Distillery pays tribute to their great-great-great grandfather, Micil Mac Chearra, who initiated the distillation of poitin in 1848 on a Connemara hillside.
